BENIDORM HALF 2020

February 29, 2020 is the date chosen to live the experience of the Half Marathon and 10K of Benidorm where runners from all over Spain, and with a great international presence, will compete in a festive and healthy environment. A sports proposal designed and worked by TSB Sport for runners to enjoy an exclusive character and an authentic aroma.

The Benidorm Athletics Club and the Benidorm City Council will once again be an indispensable piece in both the sport and logistics development of the events. The race will be held on Saturday, February 29, coinciding with the sunset, as well as the development of many parallel activities, both tourist and sports and commercial, from Friday to Saturday after the competition. The test is approved by the Spanish Athletics Federation. Its route is completely flat, mostly through the main streets of the city and the beaches of Levante and Poniente, which allows runners to improve their brands, being a very fast and colorful circuit.

Trophies will be awarded for the first three classifieds of the Half Marathon and for the first three of the 10K, of the different categories from veterans to seniors, both male and female. Similarly, prizes donated by different sponsors will be awarded. Enrolled runners will receive the runner's bag (gym-sack), a JOMA technical jersey of their distance, and they will receive the “Finisher” medal after the finish line.

The new managers of the competition, TSB Sport intend to reactivate the two sports events through an important communication campaign at national and international level, invitations to national clubs, elite runners, celebrities, revitalization of sports tourism, hospitality days, fair with sports brands, high prizes, VIP area and family lounge, bleachers, animations, contests ...

In short, raise the half marathon of Benidorm to the height of the great national athletics events, for this the promoters are working on a specific marketing and communication plan to make the event a success:

• Evening schedule, just at sunset.
• Participation of elite runners and celebrities.
• Sports briefing and talks.
• Commercial Expo with important sports brands.
• Supplies, runner's bag, medals, awards, technical shirt, etc.
• Live animations, Zumba, batucada, disc jockey…
• Special day of local gastronomy (Half Marathon of Tapas).

• Availability of tourist secretariat for international corridors.
