Acerca del evento
The museum spaces of Benidorm recover their activity after the Covid-19 health crisis. The Boca del Calvari museum reopens its doors with the retrospective exhibition 'Benidorm, Hotels of paradise', which reviews what those first establishments in the city were like between 1954 and 1964.
Pellicer explained that "this exhibition, part of the one curated by the architect Juanjo Chiner in 2005, is therefore a 'wink' and a show of support for our hotels at a difficult time that will be overcome". The exhibition occupies the basement and the ground and first floors of the museum, and has been made from materials from the Municipal Archive to complete more than 30 panels.
The person in charge of Historical Heritage has pointed out that "as has happened in many other areas, we have had to adapt the museum's operations to the new situation and to the health regulations regarding capacity and spaces".
Thus, the museum will be open every day from 6:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. and there will be guided tours every 30 minutes to discover or rediscover the 'Hotels of Paradise'. For health safety reasons, the free guided tours will be carried out in groups of a maximum of 10 people. Furthermore, health conditions “have forced us to minimize the exhibition objects, but we want visitors to have a full experience, and for this reason we are going to make it easier for them to complement their tour with the online catalog of the exhibition that can be downloaded through a QR code".
Visitors will have hydroalcoholic gel at their disposal and must use a mask.
