Acerca del evento
The tourist capital of the Costa Blanca will host from April 16 to July 12 the colorful sculptures of the famous Taiwanese artist Hung Yi , one of the most important artists on the Asian continent.
The exhibition, called 'Hung Galaxy' , consists of 14 sculptures with characteristically bright colors inspired by Taiwanese culture.
The initiative is given by the idea of "musealizing" Benidorm , and not only collect art in its museums and galleries, but also bring art to its streets, thus achieving the enjoyment of its inhabitants and tourists.
This "street" exhibition, inspired by its author in Taiwanese life and culture, could be seen until last December at the 'Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciènces' in Valencia, which was a great success with the public.
Taking over Benidorm, it will exhibit four sculptures in the Plaza de la Hispanidad, two in Gambo street, six in the recently renovated Avenida del Mediterráneo and two next to the City Hall in Plaza de SS.MM. the Kings of Spain.
'Hung Galaxy' brings with it color and diversity in one of the most "gray" and uncertain moments for everyone.
Very few cities in the world have had the opportunity to exhibit such works, including San Francisco, Washington, New York, Tokyo or Shanghai. After passing through Benidorm, he will make another "stop" on Madrid's Paseo del Prado. In the words of the mayor of Benidorm: "This is a first-class cultural event. A mixture of light and color that brings culture closer to people and adds to Benidorm's tourist offer after the desert we have crossed."
