IV EDITION SKYLINE BENIDORM FILM FESTIVAL - ONLINE

The fourth edition of the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival is going to take place 'online' and with the viewing of the 25 shorts of the Official Section through the Filmin platform, thus adapting to the circumstances generated by the world health crisis.

From July 1 to 12, 2020, we will be able to enjoy the 25 short films from the Official Section of the Skyline Benidorm Film Festival on the online cinema platform Filmin. They will have the Shortpitch section, which will be carried out by the authors of the eleven selected projects before a jury of professional experts in the film sector and who will choose the winning project, which will be awarded a prize valued at 13,000 euros.

Another section of the festival is the script contest. In this edition, more than one hundred works have been presented, from which four of them have been selected and the finalists will shortly publish. They also have various activities prepared, such as workshops for young people on dubbing movies or making fictional podcasts. In addition, there will be a masterclass and collaborations from other festivals in the Valencian Community, such as the Humansfest , an international film and human rights festival.

On the other hand, they will hold a round table whose central theme will revolve around the purchase of broadcasting rights and financing of audiovisual works in Spain, in which the Institut Valencià de Cultura and representatives of Movistar + and À Punt Media will participate.

This year they will have the award for the best Valencian short film awarded by À Punt Mèdia, this award will include an offer to purchase the broadcasting rights. And the distinctions that have been awarded so far will continue: best fiction short film, animation short film, best documentary short film, best direction, best soundtrack, among others.

In addition to all this, during this period a series of meetings will be held to give visibility to the world of the short film: meeting with directors who have visited the festival in other editions, with the finalists of the script contest, discussions with the directors of the Section Official, talks with directors of other festivals, and many more surprises ...
