"Tales and Songs" is an intimate and messy journey through Iván Ferreiro's musical career.
Based on stories, versions and of course their songs, supported by an audiovisual installation and a special and unexpected repertoire, Iván goes through his biography and explains how some songs were born in a format between the concert and the storyteller.
Iván Ferreiro, born in Vigo, Galicia, is one of the most prolific and resourceful artists known to indie pop-rock culture in Spain. Pioneer of the more alternative sound of pop rock in Spanish along with his fellow band PIRATAS, a sound that gave rise to many of the indie bands that triumph today.
With his former band Piratas, one of the most influential groups of the late 90s, he achieved great national successes and were even nominated for the MTV European awards for best band in Spanish (Frankfurt 2001)
Iván Ferreiro, is a musician who manages to generate great emotions both in his solo concerts and in those accompanied by his entire band. Iván Ferreiro has hundreds of concerts behind him: Mexico, Argentina… London, Paris, Berlin, Dublin… endless tours throughout Spain and always maintaining the same interest… that of innovating, continuing to create, composing, with hardly any rest, reaching his public. Committed musician, great communicator on social networks, influential artist, concerned about the events of his time. Generator of musical projects and collaborations with other important artists of the national scene: Leiva, Xoel, Coque Malla, Love of Lesbian, Enrique Bunbury, Amaral ...
Together with his brother Amaro, an accomplice and co-writer of some of his songs, they form one of the best live teams .
Creator of hits that are part of the current history of music: "Blue Bird", designated as Best Song by the Spanish Rolling Stone magazine ... " Turnedo" composed with his brother, a whole anthem at concerts, "SPNB", "The 80s", "Citizen A", "Extreme poverty", "Balance is impossible", "Circular thinking" ... songs that strike a chord with everyone who listens to them in their shows.
