It has been a long and difficult year for everyone, but little by little it seems that the city of Benidorm is once again recovering the life and activity that differentiates it so much from other tourist destinations.
The good weather has arrived, which according to the experts will be a fairly hot summer, but without extreme maximum temperatures and with tropical nights.
And with the excellent weather conditions, the first tourists are also arriving, as well as the fuel and energy that the tourist capital of the Costa Blanca was sorely lacking.
And how could it be otherwise, Benidorm is already "putting the batteries" and finalizing the details so that we can enjoy a summer that is as longed for as it is deserved for all.
On the one hand, more and more users can be seen on the beaches of the town enjoying the sun and the excellent waters. All of this always with the necessary measures to guarantee maximum safety among visitors, including the aforementioned subdivision of the sandy areas. For this reason, this year the Benidorm City Council has incorporated a 'Safe Beaches' device with 58 people who will carry out information and support tasks on the Levante, Poniente and Mal Pas beaches.
"This information and attention service is fundamental, since it constitutes the first line of kindness and hospitality that Benidorm always offers, in this case in what we love the most, which are our beaches," Mayor Toni Pérez says.
The lighting and furniture renovation of the busy Paseo de Levante, one of the busiest spots in the city both during the day and at night, will also be carried out. Which has begun with the implementation in a wide section of the Paseo, of a new prototype of lampposts and benches that allow a better integration of smart elements and, therefore, the harmonization of this infrastructure with the Smart Tourist Destination (DTI ) of the pioneer city in the application of these technologies. A project that will involve the introduction of RGB led technology to the iconic lighting of the Paseo de Levante, which will provide the area with ornamental lighting in which to create color compositions.
In addition, the great theme parks available to Benidorm have already opened or will begin to reopen in the coming days, with improvements made to all of them during the long months of break:
'Terra Natura' and 'Aqua Natura' opened on June 1 and 'Mundo Mar' on June 12. While 'Terra Mítica: Las Islas and Iberia Park' and 'Aqualandia Benidorm' will reopen this next July 3. Each and every one of them with the necessary security measures in force at all times.
Proof that Benidorm is a tourist showcase for the world, are the many high-profile brands that have chosen our town as the setting for filming their summer spots. With the recording days ago of some music videos and a promotional for ONCE. As well as the spot for a major Spanish fashion multinational, Benidorm continues to consolidate itself as a film set and continues to promote the city abroad.
